Inhibits Growth of Odor Causing Bacteria, Mold and Mildew
BacShield WS4 is a product of modified carbohydrates found in crab shells, a plentiful renewable resource. BacShield WS4 incorporates the environmentally derived antimicrobial properties of these crab shells into a treatment for textiles and surfaces. This product is perfect for HARSH Environments and outdoor surfaces like fences, sidewalks, roofs, vinyl siding, patios, decks, and other horizontal or veritical surfaces.

BacShield WS4 is intended as a treatment in order to give antibacterial and antifungal protection to the treated materials. BacShield WS4 inhibits the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew and fungus that cause odor, stains, discoloration, decay and deterioration of the treated materials.
Distributors of products containing BacShield WS4 may not make claims of antimicrobial activity other than the protection of the treated material against the growth of bacterial, mold, mildew and fungi in or on the treated product. 1. The WS4 solution was applied on filter paper by dipping. The treated sample in wet state was tested directly. The solution content of treated sample is controlled at 110-120% (based on the dry weight of paper)
***The recommended concentration for most applications is 6 ounces of BacShield per gallon of solution (4.7% solution). The recommended concentration for mold applications is 9-12 ounces of BacShield per gallon of solution, depending upon the porosity of the substrate. The more porous the substrate, the higher the concentration needed to control growth.
***The above data is the result of testing to determine the minimum concentration needed to be effective against these organisms in a laboratory setting.
